Flying in hot-air balloon

Come and discover all the beauties of Tuscany flying in a balloon! The port of Balloon in Tuscany is located in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa and from that location your adventure in flight will begin. First, you can participate in inflating the balloon, and when the ball is ready, climb into the basket and begin your experience in a balloon.

The duration of flights ranges from 45 minutes to an hour and a half and in that time period you can take beautiful pictures and appreciate the typical Tuscan landscape. With us also disabled in a wheelchair can fly, because we are the only ones in Italy to have a basket equipped to transport a disabled person and 2 helpers. The pilot will enliven your flight with some stories and trivia about the area and its history.

And, in the tradition of hot air ballons, at landing a glass of Champagne will be offered you to seal the success of the flight!

CONDITIONS

Anyone who wants can do it but please note that flights are early in the morning of each season as long as weather conditions permit. A balloon flight on average lasts from 45 minutes to 1 hour / 1 hour and a half. The balloon flights beginning after sunrise. You will fly from Tavarnelle Val di Pesa at our Porto Aerostatico of the Chianti. The flight is based on wind conditions and general weather conditions which must be almost perfect. Your pilot will be your guide and he will host you on board of the balloon and will explain the crucial phases of flight. After landing, in the tradition of hot air ballons, a glass of champagne will be offered you to celebrate the unique experience and adventure. Then you will be taken back to the point of takeoff. 


The balloons capture the imagination, each flight is a unique and magical journey. For your safety we fly only in perfect conditions. Balloon flights are not dangerous and we want to keep them safe. There is a season to fly in a balloon that goes roughly from late spring to early autumn with some annual variations. Weather can change very quickly in the Chianti region and we must avoid any possible risk. 


However, there are flights all the year round and winter flights can really show special and unique landscapes. Vineyards and forests covered with ice with the changing and very scenic reflections of light. The winter flights, however, are not “regular” and you will fly only with good weather conditions.
