In 1889 the Florence Golf Club was founded with the first Italian golf association. When, in the 30′s, the idea to modernize the course takes shape, the Ugolino was born, a course which is only 5,676 meters long, but not without some difficulties given by the choice of builders to take full advantage of the natural characteristics of the place, with its olive trees and cypresses and with natural slopes that will put a strain on the accuracy of the players, but that will not fail to enchant you with its spectacular landscapes.
Today many Italian competitions and International Opens take place at the Golf dell’Ugolino.
